Building a quarter-million-dollar in-house studio from scratch, producing photography, podcasts, and video for company-wide broadcasts. I also branded HR and DEI initiatives, creating logos and campaigns that strengthened culture and reinforced the company’s commitment to inclusion.
Proof of Concept
The first photo captures the very beginning of Berkshire Hathaway’s studio journey—a simple setup with budget Amazon lights, one computer, and a basic wireless mic. It was scrappy but effective, a test run to prove the value of building an internal broadcast space.
Completed Studio
The second photo shows the fully realized vision—a professional, soundproof studio built with a large investment. Outfitted with top-tier lighting, cameras, and production equipment, it became the company’s hub for photography, video, podcasts, and live-streamed employee meetings.
At Berkshire Hathaway, my role quickly grew into full creative direction across multiple channels. What began as a proof-of-concept studio with budget lighting and a single computer expanded into a state-of-the-art production space. In that studio, I directed and produced photography, employee portraits, podcasts, and video content that supported internal communications and quarterly all-employee meetings. Beyond the studio, I designed print materials and branded campaigns that made abstract ideas tangible, from HR initiatives encouraging employee referrals to incentive programs that boosted engagement.
One of the most meaningful projects was shaping the company’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs. At a time when many companies were scaling back, Berkshire Hathaway doubled down, and I built logos and identities for each internal DEI group to give them visibility and pride. The work was broad in scope but tied together by a single goal of elevating the employee experience through thoughtful design and communication.
