Ono Productions

Ono Productions is a film company with deep Hawaiian roots in Newport Beach, California. Casella Creative was retained when the company was seeking a new corporate image. The company was targeting a younger audience.  We wanted to develop a unique  timeless logo design that avoided the Hawaiian and movie reel visual clichés . 

During the research phase, the butternut tree leaves were discovered in traditional Hawaiian quilts. We came up with the idea of utilizing the company name interlaced with the butternut tree leaves. The logo was used for storefront signage, business cards, and the film slugs.
