Album Cover Design

Brief

Casella is well-known for quality photography that we provide as part of our creative suite of services. Zach Ashton came to us to help him with a design for a new album. The album title “Just Like Beautiful” conveyed the artist’s respect for nature. Casella was given complete creative freedom on this project. We interviewed the artist at length. In the course of the interviews, we learned of his interest in the Central Coast. We decided to use images representing Ashton’s favorite author, John Steinbeck. We photographed a number of images to lovingly show the beauty of the Central Coast. We then selected an image of a 200 year old tree stump to depict the beauty and power of nature, coupled with the passage of time.
