Client: Dorothy's Place/Sappi Grant Award

Brief

Dorothy’s Place has served the homeless community for over 25 years. In 2007, we put together a unique grant application for Sappi Paper. Out of several hundred nationwide applicants, we were one of 15 design firms to receive the coveted grant. We created a custom booklet highlighting the programs offered by Dorothy’s Pace. This booklet was well-received by the judging panel. As a result of our efforts, Dorothy’s Place was awarded $31,500 for marketing and promotional material. We were able to effectively tell the story of Dorothy’s Place to the community. Because of our efforts, Dorothy’s Place saw a dramatic increase in donations from the community As a direct result of our efforts, Dorothy’s Place was able to reverse a steep negative financial trend. For three consecutive years, the charity has ended up in the black—a goal they had never reached in the past.
