How I created the Levitation project

San Diego, CA |It’s been a while since I have posted to my blog. Well this is how I made the Levitation project. I covered my living room with paper. Then I shot 2 pictures and created a composite. The first image was shot at normal exposer. The second was over exposed by 3 stops then placed over the first shot. I drew a clipping path around my wife and popped her through the over exposed layer. That created the levitation look.

San Diego, CA |This project has been in the works for nine months. I finally rented some strobes and shot it in my living room. If someone is interested I’ll post a shot of the lighting setup.
Basic rite to parenthood

I seem to be capitalizing on a basic rite to parenthood- Photographing my daughter. The one thing I have learned is you don’t need fancy light to create a beautiful portrait. The best lighting source is doorways, windows and porches. Check out flickr to view more.
