Casella Creative completes Dorothy’s Place Sappi Grant

Salinas, CA | After 26 years of assisting the homeless, Dorothy’s Place finally has all the collateral they need to spread their message of love. The full identity system was designed by Casella Creative that included Business cards for 44 people, letterhead, and envelopes. Casella Creative is one the 15 design firms across the country to receive the prestigious Sappi grant for their personal philanthropic cause.
Salinas Landscape Photography in Zoomify

Salinas, CA | CS3 has some pretty cool tools including the ability to export large images for websites in the zoomify format. It’s the same effect as google maps. Zoomify makes high-quality images zoom-and-pan for fast, interactive viewing on the web! Here is a massive photo I stitched together then dropped into Zoomify. POP-UP CARD design for non-profit

Salinas, CA | Casella Creative designs a 3D pop-up holiday card for Dorothy’s Place. We have designed a pop up card before,but due to a limited budget and lack off color it wasn’t as effective as planned. With a generous grant from Sappi Paper we were able to pull out all the stops. Printed on thick 120 paper and four colors,the card gives donors something tangible for their donations. To request one go www.dorothysplace.org

How I created the Levitation project

San Diego, CA |It’s been a while since I have posted to my blog. Well this is how I made the Levitation project. I covered my living room with paper. Then I shot 2 pictures and created a composite. The first image was shot at normal exposer. The second was over exposed by 3 stops then placed over the first shot. I drew a clipping path around my wife and popped her through the over exposed layer. That created the levitation look.
